Permits, TIMS, and paperwork
Short version: we handle all of them. Here's what you're actually paying for — 2026 rates.
Every trekking region in Nepal requires at least one permit. Restricted areas (Manaslu, Upper Mustang, Dolpo, Tsum Valley) require a licensed guide and a minimum group size of two — solo trekking is not legal in those zones.
We arrange every permit listed below on your behalf, using scans of your passport you send us before arrival. The costs are included in the trip price unless flagged otherwise on your itinerary.
TIMS Card
All trekkers in non-restricted areas
Fee: $17 (group) / $34 (individual)
Sagarmatha National Park Permit
Everest region treks (EBC, Gokyo, Three Passes)
Fee: NPR 3,000 (~$23)
ACAP — Annapurna Conservation Area
Annapurna region (ABC, Poon Hill, Mustang, Tilicho)
Fee: NPR 3,000 (~$23)
Langtang National Park Permit
Langtang Valley, Gosaikunda
Fee: NPR 3,000 (~$23)
Manaslu Restricted Area Permit
Manaslu Circuit
Fee: $100 (Sept–Nov) / $75 (Dec–Aug), 7-day base
Upper Mustang Restricted Area Permit
Upper Mustang trek
Fee: $500 for 10 days
What we need from you
- · A scan of your passport (valid 6+ months past return)
- · Two passport-style photos (we can also take these in Kathmandu)
- · Travel-insurance certificate covering high-altitude rescue
